Yad is a browser extension that carries out tasks on web pages that you describe in plain language. This policy explains what happens to your data.
To carry out your task, Yad reads the content of the web page you are working on (its text and links). This is the only kind of data Yad handles.
Yad works together with a local companion app on your own computer. To understand your task, the page content and your instruction are sent to the AI model you choose in the settings. If you choose a local model, nothing leaves your computer. If you choose a cloud model, the page content and your instruction are sent to that provider to generate the next step.
Your passwords, PIN codes and card numbers are masked before anything is sent. Your settings and saved tasks are stored only on your own device. Yad does not collect your browsing history, your location, or your personal communications.
When Yad gets stuck on a site, it may send a small anonymous note to the developer: the site's domain, the type of hiccup, and the type of action. No page content, no logins, no personal data. You can turn this off in the settings.
Yad does not sell or transfer your data to third parties. It does not use your data for anything other than carrying out your task. It does not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
